How
was the Coaching Pathway methodology and learning tool developed?
Our learning tool product was developed in response to a client request for an
alternative methodology to fulfill a specific organizational learning and communications
need. The client required an effective organizational training method, able to reach
a broader spectrum of employees, more quickly.

TO QUESTIONS
What
is a Coaching Pathway?
A Coaching Pathway is a learning tool that takes an interactive systems approach to train groups
of 8 to 10 users at a time about a specific corporate initiative utilizing
a graphic Coaching MapTM. The learning system methodology is based on proven adult learning techniques which
incorporate the use of visual graphics, behavioral science, and group
dynamics in order to train all levels of employees.
BACK
TO QUESTIONS
How
is using a Coaching Pathway different from other training methods?
Coaching Maps are a fun, interactive and proven effective way to train
adults. We customize graphic analogies for program concepts into a
Coaching Map system, complete with discussion cards and
facilitator's questions. Each Coaching Map depicts the program
information as a graphic journey or "pathway;" a transition from a
current reality to a future desired state. Small groups of participants
literally "travel" the pathway, discussing program milestones, grasping
program concepts, and understanding information more effectively than in
traditional classroom or computer training.
BACK
TO QUESTIONS
Why
does your methodology work?
Our methodology is based on proven adult learning techniques. It incorporates
all modes of effective adult learning: visual, audio and kinesthetic.
It enables participants to learn in a casual, relaxed atmosphere, build
rapport with one another and even have fun while learning concepts that
are often complex, but are clarified by the use of graphic analogies.
The most important benefit of using this methodology is the ability
for adults in each session to interact. It is only through this
type of dialogue that you can obtain instant feedback about employee
attitudes, challenge current employee perceptions, and encourage employees
to apply the information to their role in the success of the organization.
BACK TO QUESTIONS
What
experience do you have to develop learning systems?
Each Coaching Concept Project Team is made up of seasoned
professionals from a variety of business disciplines (organizational
development specialists, HR and business consultants, communications
experts, process engineers, etc.) all of which are custom-selected according to a
specific client program and individual learning system requirements. Their
breadth of business experience includes providing services to small
private organizations as well as to large government organizations and
global Fortune 500 corporate enterprises.
BACK
TO QUESTIONS
How
do you measure your effectiveness?
Success is traditionally measured by cost/ participant and the transferability
of the skill or knowledge gained. Our Coaching Map methodology helps more people
learn than through traditional training methods, because it is visual,
auditory and interactive. Participants in interactive-type training
are proven to retain more information longer, and will tend to apply
more of what they have learned than those who participate in traditional
classroom or computer-based training.*
We work closely with our clients to determine their particular measurements
of success. We help them assess program achievements through participant
feedback, surveys and follow-up sessions when required.
Your investment in this type of training system enables you to have
total control on its use. You own it, so you control how often you
use the system, and for how long. Because Coaching Pathway Systems are
so flexible, they can be easily adapted to all levels of your employees
or changing organizations, and there is literally no limit to the number
of participants that can be trained or re-trained.

BACK
TO QUESTIONS
How
long does it take to develop a learning program and Coaching Pathway?
The development process timeline is dependent on the involvement of
the client. Once a corporate initiative or organizational program is developed and
milestones are determined, a customized Coaching Pathways Learning
System can
usually be developed within 60 days.
BACK
TO QUESTIONS
How
long does it take to facilitate a learning session using a Coaching
Pathway?
Ideally, we recommend that our clients allocate 1/2 day to effectively
facilitate a learning session using a Coaching Pathway system. This allows time for
the group to interact, ask questions, and discuss concepts thoroughly.
Sessions can be shorter, depending on the application, and can be broken
up into milestone segments for program reinforcement or expansion of
learning around one or several individual concepts represented on the
map.
